Better Late than Never Puzzler

Well, it is late Tuesday afternoon here and I still am working on updating my blog for Show and Tell Monday...that should tell you how behind I am today. Today it is sunny sometimes, overcast sometimes, humid, and hot, hot, hot! I looked on the outside thermometer...90 degrees in the SHADE! Of course, I have my air conditioner on, but it truly does not feel like spring...which it still is, believe it or not!

Today started late and was just full of schedule changes and running around. Lots of phone calls too...none of them terribly important, except the calls from hubby. Oh, how I look forward to a vacation full of rest and relaxation on days like this...don't you? I could spend hours dreaming of far away places and shopping and sipping fancy teas and coffees and...oh...I am getting carried away. What I need is a little Springtime...in...Paris...maybe??? You ladies know what I mean. The streets, the pastries, the shopping, the ambiance...and all with the delicious flavor of springtime! Doesn't that sound marvelous?

So today my picture is well...a bit of a surprise...if you will. I am posting bits and pieces of a project that I am working on. Show and Tell

Well, this is my very first show and tell Monday! I am so excited to be a part of the MMP boutiques. As yet I have not completed my websites, so I am not so sure that I will be showing THAT off as my show and tell! The blog itself is a work in progress, being new as it is.

Since this was Mother's day weekend, I spent the majority of the time with my brood. Now, this isn't just any brood...it's a very integrated family: Me, dh, ds, my mom, and our four dogs. Yes...16 paws...that's what keeps me cleaning this house. Actually there are 20 paws, if you count the rabbit.

Anyway, let me share my best buddy with you. His name is Max and he came to me as a stray when I owned the shop. His owners had been releasing him, hoping that he would not come home. How sad! He is the most gentle, well behaved guy you would ever want to meet. He's an old guy...we think maybe 10 years old.This past winter he suddenly took ill with bloat, generally a fatal condition. We prayed really hard and not only did he make it through the surgery, but he also does not have a fatal metabolic disorder that he had tested positive for at the time. He is completely healed from the surgery now. And though he still struggles with the aches and pains of arthritis on occasion, he is a HUGE blessing to me. He sticks to me like glue and has become my very best pal. I keep thanking God for bringing him to me and for bringing him back to health. Oh, how i wish you could all meet him. I know you would be blessed by such a gentle soul as he. But at least I can share his story with you and hope somehow that you are touched and blessed this day.

Veggie Time!!!

Tuesday morning dh finally dug up a big spot for a veggie garden. Mom and I decided that we should grow our own with all of the rising prices...but let's face it...it just tastes better! We will need to get more supplies: top soil, plants, seeds, fencing (those bunnies are voracious!!!)...and probably a few other odds and ends. But for now...it just lays there resting. It is raining today, not a good day to be out there working. It is, however, a great day to daydream about my garden and the wonderful harvest I look forward to!!!

This little door hanger looks great everywhere ~ even on the tree in my front yard! What a great little touch for those summer days.
